Schools Mentoring Project | 03.02.10

Do you ...

... want to make a difference with young people in schools in your local area? Have you ever considered being a positive role model to pupils in school and help them overcome their barriers to learning? If your answer is YES then please come and join us on the Sandwell Schools Mentoring Project.

The Schools Mentoring Programme is an innovative programme for all ages in education. As a Mentor you will support pupils in achieving their full potential through personal development training and coaching. It also enables the opportunity to develop practical and communication skills which will assist in their growth as a person and in future training and employment.

We need volunteers to coach and mentor pupils in both primary and secondary schools. The programme is very flexible with training and support provided to all new volunteers. CRB or Vetting and Barring Scheme checks will be carried out for all prospective volunteers.
