Finding a break into theatre and
performance art can often be difficult - following a recent enquiry
about volunteering we located the website 'Getintotheatre',

looking to get into theatre/performance as a career, check out this
useful site.
Sandwell Advocacy have been in touch with us and are looking for volunteers in two specific areas within their project. (1) Volunteer Trustees/Committee Members and (2) Volunteer Advocates, to work with clients in need of support and 'direction'. See Latest Opportunities below for details. Volunteering England have a website that explains the role of a trustee, check it out and see how you can make a difference as a volunteer trustee. Volunteering England provide details about changes in the rules here and you can also download your own guide (in PDF format) here. We have a booklet produced by the Department of Work and Pensions detailing how each benefit is affected by the changes - if you visit us to find out more about volunteering and are on a state benefit please ask us for a free copy. Trustees/Management Committee volunteers - full support and training
will be provided for this to assist in the development of the project
and ensuring it meets the needs of local people referred to them for

Volunteer Advocates to get directly involved in supporting people

volunteer?
A: Yes, as long as you are actively seeking work and are available for work. There are no more time limits to the hours you can volunteer in the week - see Volunteering England's site about this. Criminal Record Bureau disclosures are just one of the ways we can check people before they become volunteers. Volunteering England have a useful site covering disclosure and screening of people here. Driver Law Change - changes in the law regarding volunteer drivers.
